Polysilicon is composed of a great
number of silicon atoms and many small crystal
grains. It is produced by metal silicon (namely industrial
silicon)through chemical reaction, purification, and
reduction to grain the high-purity materials (namely
reduction silicon).
Appearance:General dark grey,opaque,with metal
luster.
Properties:Its density is between 2.32 and 2.34 with
melting point of 1410 ℃, boiling point of 2355 ℃,
dissolving in the hydrofluoric acid and nitric
acid mixture while not in water, nitrate and
hydrochloric acid.
Usage:It is mainly used for semiconductors and solar
cells and can be drawn silicon materials. In the
electronics industry it is widely used in the
manufacture of semiconductor radios, tape recorders,
refrigerators, color televisions,video recorders, computers and other
basic materials. Application: Polycrystalline silicon is the direct
material to produce crystalline silicon, and it is
the basic material of contemporary artificial
intelligence, auto control, information disposal, photo
electricity, and other semiconductor parts. Polycrystalline
